History

The AIM was founded in 1941 as the Institute of Industrial Management of Australia, changing to its current name in 1949.

It has five state divisions:
  • New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory
  • Queensland & Northern Territory
  • South Australia
  • Victoria & Tasmania
  • Western Australia

Professional membership

There are four personal membership categories:
  • Affiliate
  • Member (AIMM)
  • Associate Fellow (AFAIM)
  • Fellow (FAIM)
