The school was established in 2008 and caters for students in Year 7 to 12.

The college was opened in 2008 with Stage 1 of building program being completed in 2010 which housed the 680
Year 7 to Year 10 students. Facilities included in Stage 1 of the project include a two storey building for classrooms, a large gymansium and a performing arts centre.

The school introduced a Year 11 cohort in 2011 and will introduce a Year 12 cohort in 2012. A $32 million stgae 2 building program will be completed to house the additional students by the commencement of the school year in 2012.
