A faction is a group usually having strong, radical beliefs. The duo recorded a series of self-released CD-Rs and internet-released tracks leading up to the release of their debut album 'Widow Chamber' in 2001.
This drew the attention of the German Noitekk label, who released their second album 'Blunt Force Trauma' in 2002. Aslan Faction would go on to play a number of relatively high-profile festival slots, as well as their first show in the USA. The project has been less active in recent years, Anthony Mather concentrating on his role in Tactical Sekt
. Lee Lauer, meanwhile, has a project with Karen King called Killing Ophelia as well as a solo project Cygore.
