Raman Ashok Kumar, better known as Ashokan, is a filmmaker from Kerala, India. He mastered the sills in directing feature films during his 7-year tutelage with Mr. Sasi Kumar, a renowned film director in India. During this period he gained knowledge in all fundamental aspects of filmmaking.

His directorial debut, "Varnam" garnered instant success and recognition. His most recent project, a tele cinema, entitled "Melody of Loneliness" was well received and appreciated by the media and viewers and clinched 4 Kerala Film Critics Awards including Best Direction.
