 of Maharashtra State in India. It is situated on the bank of Arunavati River.
Arni (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is one of the 288 constituencies of Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha and one of the seven which are located in Yavatmal district. It is reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidate.
It is a part of Chandrapur (Lok Sabha constituency) with adjoining Chandrapur district along with five other Vidhan Sabha assembly constituencies viz. Rajura(SC), Chandrapur(SC), Ballarpur and Warora from Chandrapur district and Wani from Yavatmal district.

Mahur one of the worshiped places of Hindu situated just 33 km from the city. State highway no. 3 (Nagpur-Tuljapur) is passes from Arni, and hence city gets unusual importance

Arni is also major center for education having well equipped with school and colleges like S.M.D.Bharati high school, Shahid Bhagatsingh High school, Deorao Patil Kanya school.
Arni shares boundary with Digras, Yavatmal, Ghatanji, Umerkhed, Mahagaon, Darwha talukas of Yavatmal districts. Different communities are observed here like Hindu, Muslim, Budhist, Jain, Banjara etc. Marathi is major spoken language in taluka but languages like Banjari, Hindi, Urdu, Marwari are also has good occurrence in entire taluka.

This place is mainly famous for annual fair held every February in memory of Kambalposhbaba. The darga of kambalposhbaba is unique example of unity between Hindu and Muslim. The darga is situated at the bank of Arunavati river ( the name Arni came from Arunavati river). Shankarpat is one of the main attractions of the fair, where around 200 villager (with their pair of bulls) get participated for prestigious prize.

This city has big grain market. Food grains like wheat, Jowar, Pulses, Groundnut,etc. are having huge demand in the market. Market always get flooded with grains from nearby towns such as Anji(N), Jawala, Tivranga, Sawali and cities like Akola, Amravati, Nagpur, Adilabad, Hyderabad,etc.
It is better known for its cotton.
