Originally, the land the school currently sits on was used as grounds for Arlington Municipal Airport, which was closed officially in 2002. Located on 75 acres (303,514.5 m²) at Airline Road and Milton Wilson Road, Arlington High School began enrollment for 9th grade students in 2004.
