. Quite notably, Harris did not play his junior year due to an injury to his knee or his senior year because he transferred and lost that year's eligibility. Harris did not play football for 2 years until he made his return to the field in an all-star game in Las Vegas and was named MVP. He was a free agent and was signed by the St. Louis Rams. Over the off-season he joined churches such as Manor Presbyterian and Windsor Baptist in a weekend retreat at Pinebrook located in Pennsylvania and gave his testimony about why kids should not do drugs or have sex before marriage. He then signed autographs on his Detroit Lions sportscards that he handed out to people.
Arlen has been married to his wife Heather for 9 years and together they have three beautiful children Caeli, Arlen Jr., and Ayden.
He currently is a strength and conditioning coach at Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis, MO.
