inquiries are routed to individual people working out of their homes.
Founded in 1997, Arise currently contracts with more than 18,000 home-based agents (who are employees, contractors, or owners of businesses known as Virtual Services Corporations), providing sales, technical support and customer service in the form of phone, chat and e-mail responses.
Arise operates an entirely online / virtual application and certification process for potential applicants through computer proficiency tests, verbal accent assessment, and eLearning applications to screen and prep its agents simultaneously across 49 United States, Canada, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Arise's Virtual Services Corporations operate as individual business owners who pay for their own training and equipment and determine their own client service portfolio as a result of Arise’s selection/talent matching process. The Arise model ensures compliance with strict income tax regulations, as well as to provide a high level of independence, freedom and flexibility for the agent. This is in contrast to other home-based agent vendors that classify their talent as employees or independent contractor
