Arignar Anna Institute of Science and Technology was launched during the year 2000 for a single purpose "To produce excellence in education". The college has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University of Technology Chennai, Tamilnadu.
