 is still widely used to eliminate the manual data entry previously required to process structured documents, it is not a feasible solution to efficiently process semi-structured documents, such as invoices, remittances, and checks. AnyDoc developed AnyApp technology to capture the data for these more complex documents and to memorize the data locations for subsequent encounters with the same document types for expedited processing.

Founded by Charles W. Jackson, AnyDoc is a privately-held company. AnyDoc Software calls itself "an industry-leading provider of document and data capture and classification solutions" and has won several awards, such as Product of the Year (Imaging and Document Solutions magazine, 1992, 1998, 1999; Transform magazine, 2001), Editor’s Choice Award (Imaging and Document Solutions magazine, 1998, 1999), and the ACE Award (ECM Connection 2005–2010 ), and appeared on the Inc. 500, and Fast 500 lists.

  • 2007: Opened UK satellite office in Hampshire, United Kingdom.
  • 2008: Opened German office in Wiesbaden, Germany.
