) in 1844. In 1838 he was elected to the Norwegian Parliament in 1848, representing the city Tromsø, where the County Governor was seated. He was re-elected in 1851. He later left Finmarkens Amt to become County Governor of Rogalands Amt from 1853 to 1863.
