on 12 July 1913, Rogers later attended Whitiora School and Hamilton High School

He represented the new Hamilton East
electorate from 1972 to 1975, when he was defeated by Ian Shearer
.
Rogers was one of two founders of the University of Waikato
, established in 1964.
His brother Denis Rogers was the Mayor of Hamilton from 1959 to 1968.
Anthony died on 18 August 2009.
