The Town of Annetta North was incorporated on August 11, 1979, and Phyllis M. Studer was elected as its first mayor. The current mayor is Rob Watson.
Annetta North is a small town that is mostly residential and farmland. There is only one church building, and the only other public places in the town are a car repair shop and riding arena. Both the Clear Fork and the South Fork of the Trinity River pass through the town, as well as Burgess Creek and the Dixon Branch. O'Neal Cemetery is located within the town limits as well.

In the town the population was spread out with 27.6% under the age of 18, 4.9% from 18 to 24, 25.5% from 25 to 44, 29.6% from 45 to 64, and 12.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 100.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.3 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $68,750, and the median income for a family was $76,604. Males had a median income of $57,500 versus $22,500 for females. The per capita income
