Background

All students at USC are welcome to volunteer at ATVN as writers, editors, photographers, anchors and reporters, but many classes also work in conjunction with ATVN.

Students produce all newscasts at ATVN. They're encouraged to learn and practice as many different skills as possible in order to advance and prepare for their careers. Students work with industry-standard equipment and technology including Avid iNews, Avid NewsCutter non-linear editing, Adobe Photoshop

Executive producers

Executive producers at Annenberg TV News are in charge of running day-to-day operations, including the newscast, managing the Web site at ATVN.org and organizing coverage of events, as well as a number of other weekly duties. EP tenures are usually the same as the school year, running from the beginning of the fall to the end of the spring.
