Annenberg TV News, or ATVN, is a student-produced 30-minute nightly news program serving the University of Southern California
student body and Downtown Los Angeles
. It airs live at 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday during the school year on Trojan Vision
8 on campus and online on Trojan Vision's website. ATVN also produces exclusive web content year-round on www.ATVN.org.
Students produce all newscasts at ATVN. They're encouraged to learn and practice as many different skills as possible in order to advance and prepare for their careers. Students work with industry-standard equipment and technology including Avid iNews, Avid NewsCutter non-linear editing, Adobe Photoshop
and AfterEffects. In 2009 ATVN began using Streambox technology to allow for reporter liveshots on air.

Background
All students at USC are welcome to volunteer at ATVN as writers, editors, photographers, anchors and reporters, but many classes also work in conjunction with ATVN.Students produce all newscasts at ATVN. Executive producers
Executive producers at Annenberg TV News are in charge of running day-to-day operations, including the newscast, managing the Web site at ATVN.org and organizing coverage of events, as well as a number of other weekly duties.
