Anja Feldmann

Anja Feldmann is a German computer scientist. She studied computer science at Universität Paderborn and received her Diplom in 1990. In 1991 she received her M.Sc. and in 1992 her Ph.D. in computer science both from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU in Pittsburg, PA) Thereafter, she made an internship at Fore Systems and worked at AT&T Labs – Research, researching in the area of communication software, IP traffic measurement, traffic modelling, and traffic management.

After being appointed professor at the Universität des Saarlandes, Germany, in 2000, Anja Feldmann moved to Technische Universität München in 2002, heading the Network Architectures group, and to the newly founded Telekom Laboratories (T-Labs), a cooperation between the Technische Universität Berlin and the Deutsche Telekom AG, in 2006. There she heads the research group on Intelligent Networks (FG INET) and is dean of the department of electrical engineering and computer science.

In 2010, Anja Feldmann has been elected to the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina., and awarded with the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize
