 to deal with an undisclosed mental issue. Though once a top catching prospect for Milwaukee, Salomé requested a change to the outfield which was granted, effectively ending his career as a catcher. He was released as a free agent following the 2010 season. On April 20, 2011 Salome was signed by the Seattle Mariners.
