Andy Valmorbida was born in Melbourne, Australia and is the son of Italian immigrants and heir to one of Australia's largest private conglomerates.
Valmorbida completed a Business degree before working at his family’s investment bank Morgan Schiff & Co.
in New York for stepfather Phillip Cohen
. He then continued on Wall Street before moving into the art world at the age of 25.
In 2006, he created Valmorbida & Co. a private art dealership headquartered in New York. Valmorbida & Co, is the pioneer of the new era of art event marketing, bringing new methods to the business of selling art. Andy Valmorbida is also a member of the Serpentine Gallery's council in London.
In November 2008, Valmorbida showed the work of Raphael Mazzucco
with an exhibition at the Palazzo Corsini in Florence . As well as sold out shows in New York, Los Angeles, Southampton, Milan and Melbourne Australia.
Valmorbida’s latest Artist addition is 80’s Graffiti artist Richard Hambleton.
Richard Hambleton was recently described as the godfather of street art by Papermag. Hambleton was the leading graffiti artist along with Keith Herring and Basquiat in New Yorks Lower East side and is the sole survivor of this original group.

In 2010 Andy curated and donated two rare Richard Hambleton pieces to the amfAR 17th Annual Cinema Against AIDS Gala During the Cannes Film Festival event. The pieces sold for $960,000.
Valmorbida collaborated with the Moscow City Government, Moscow City Department of Culture, Russian Academy of Arts and the Moscow Museum of Modern Art by presenting the Richard Hambleton New York Exhibition in Russia September 2010 This exhibition drew the biggest ever art crowd in Moscow history.
