Haran then spent the latter half of the 2008 season on loan to First Division side Monaghan United where he scored 7 goals in 14 league and cup appearances.
Andy signed professional terms with St. Pats in January 2009 in time for the new season. Haran's first competitive goal for the Saints arrived during a 2-1 win over Drogheda United on 20 April 2009 at Richmond Park

Shortly after putting pen to paper for 2010, Haran was loaned out to First Division side Shelbourne

. Haran made just one Leinster Senior Cup appearance for Shels before dislocating his shoulder.
