He won his second A Championship title with UCD following their 2-1 victory over Bohemians A on 1 November 2010. Boyle departed UCD at the end of the 2010 season after 63 career appearances and 1 goal.

After his participation in UCD's A Championship winning side of 2008 Boyle was promoted to UCD's first team for the 2009 First Division season. Boyle is a current Republic of Ireland Under 19 international having won his first Under 19 cap against Portugal Under 19s on 8 September 2009.
