Biography

Born and raised in Athens, Babali studied economy and music, just to decide she wanted to follow the art way. She began singing as a vocalist with Nikos Portokaloglou Band at 1998. She first appears on Παιχνίδια με το Διάβολο (Playing Games with the Devil) album (1999), Brazilero OST (2001) (Portokaloglou's biggest hit) 2001 2003. Her first solo appearance is on "Brazilero" with "Δεν ειν' αργά" (It's not too late) which became a major radio hit. Babali released her first solo album in 2003 "Και η Γη γυρίζει" (And the World keeps on turning...) following a contract with Universal Music. She sings "Γίνε κομμάτια" (Turn to pieces) in Portokaloglou's "Δίψα" (Thirst), and it becomes a major hit in Greece, but also in France. France's Ethnic Radio "RFI Musique" includes "Γίνε κομμάτια" to the Top-10 list for a period of over 3 months.
In 2004, Andriana is nomineed in "Arion" Awards" (Greece's biggest Music Awards) for "Best New-Comer" and "Best Female Pop Singer" .
Also, that year she sings in Stefanos Korkolis's album "Anemoptero" singing the title song and Kostas Livadas's "Τι χρονιά κι αυτή" singing "Μια μέρα έμεινε ακόμα". During the Winter of 2004-2005 Andriana appears on George Dalaras 's shows. May 2005 she released her second album "Μην πεις ποτέ" (Never say never), following a new contract with Minos EMI

. February 2006 follows a repackaging of this album, including an extra song by Stefanos Korkolis (music) and Rebekka Russi (lyrics), which was used in a very popular TV advertisement of Chocolate. October 11, 2010 Babali released her fifth album "Ο Τζον Τζον Ζει" (John-John is alive), which is her first case of "whole album" song writer-lyrics writer combination. Stamos Semsis has written the music and Nikos Moraitis the lyrics. The successful Greek TV series The Island used Andriana's song "Ise Esi O Anthropos Mou" (from her 2009 cd: The Rose Tattoo) for the series title song.

On October 20, 2010, "Ise Esi O Anthropos Mou" reached #1 on the Greek iTunes Store sales chart.
