(Family) is the descendants of Anchery Punnoose Mappila servant of the king of Thekkumcore, in the 16th century. He migrated and settled in Anchery from Bharananganam near Palai, Kerala. (Reference: Anchery Kudumba Charithram -history of the Anchery family). The family members are now scattered all around the world. St. Peter’s Jacobite Church was the first historical church in Anchery built by 5 forefathers all had a common name ITTY. The church was also known "ANCHUE ITTY PALLI" and is presently known as St. Peters Orthodox Church. The church parish day is the lands festival(perunall)where everyone comes without any grade .There is one Hindu temple known as Anchery puthiya kavu which has the same historical preference as anche itty palii,which has a famous festival,meenabharanni mahaulsavam(kumbakodham). Anchery Christos Marthoma church, St. Mary’s Malankara Catholic church, St. John’s CSI Church and Carmel India Pentecostal Church are other Churches in Anchery.The public library
is located at Narimattam Kavala in which has a history around 60 year and also [YMCA]situated in the same place.There is a State Bank of Travancore
(Pariyaram) Branch located in narimattom kavala . The Pariyaram Government upper primary School is the only educational institution in Anchery,the school has given us many product ,well educated people inside India and abroad,business magnet and they followed to bring up well educated generations .there is post office,and ayurvedic clinic located in Kathayil Paalam and .There is a government veterinary hospital which was has passed many years of successful service towards domestic animals,long back many people came from distance places for treatment.
