History

Analogic was founded by its Chairman Emeritus, Bernard M. Gordon in 1967. Throughout its history, it has invented, designed, and manufactured “technology products” that are usually components or subsystems for equipment manufactured by other companies. In recent times, Analogic manufactures entire products that include the subsystems that it has historically produced for others. As a technology company, Analogic holds over two hundred U.S. and European Patents mostly in the fields of data acquisition and processing. Part of its business involves licensing this technology.

Products

Analogic produces both subassemblies and complete systems for OEM companies. Many of these products remain hidden from view because Analogic does not sell directly to the end user. However, there are several products shown on its web page listed below. One of the most significant is the “EXACT” (EXplosive Assessment Computed Tomography) baggage scanner that is the heart of a government-certified, automatic Explosives Detection System (EDS) used in airports throughout the world.
