She began playing Carmen Howle in Tracy Beaker Returns at the age of 11, even though her character was only 9 years old at the time. Ther first series was filmed in the summer 2009, and screened at the beginning of 2010.

Personal life

Hickman was born in St Leonards-On-Sea,East Sussex, where she lives with her family and attends Filsham Valley School (now St Leonards Academy).
