Life after Football

After retiring from the NFL, he worked as a political campaigner and volunterred at a youth outreach program.

Marsh's health began to deteriorate in 1979 because of diabetes, and a series of minor strokes was followed by a major stroke that caused serious brain damage.

He had been hospitalized since 1991 and died on 2 November 1992.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, a brother, two daughters and two sons.
