Amanda Bowman is a British
disc jockey

Her broadcasting career began in the mid 1980s while she was working for Radio Trent. Initially one of the station's Careline presenters, she went on to host a show at Trent in her own right, before later taking a career break
in order to bring up her children. Returning to the airwaves in the 1990s, she presented shows on Trent's mediumwave
service, GEM-AM, then the Classic Gold
network after GEM became one of many AM services to be taken over by the network. At Classic Gold, she hosted the breakfast show and was later a lunchtime presenter, before leaving to join Saga 106.6 FM
.
She began presenting at Saga in February 2005, hosting the station's Across Midday show from 10am to 1pm. She worked on the show until the station was rebranded as Smooth Radio
in March 2007, where she then hosted Smooth's evening show. However, in March 2008, she left Smooth and Steve Merike took over Smooth Evenings.
Amanda Bowman joined BBC Radio Nottingham
in 2009 and can now be heard broadcasting on Sunday-Thursday evenings between 10pm and 1am. She can also be heard covering other programmes for holidaying presenters.
