History
Asian and Pacific Islander-Americans were struggling to find their identities in American Society. While some found prosperity in gangs others pursued higher education becoming capable gentlemen in the community. The Founding Fathers at San Diego State University became involved in cultural organizations, however, they wanted to be around people who have similar interests, living a similar lifestyle, and interested in making greater impacts in the community—a sense of involvement that never existed and a brotherhood like no other. In 2000, the Ten Founding Fathers founded Alpha Psi Rho at San Diego State University. Though to assimilate the intimidating image that Alpha Psi Rho holds, it is not common to find a member with an urban low-income lifestyle. In order to perserve true brotherhood it is important for the brothers to remain true to their past. The Founding Fathers
