Alne is also the site of Alne County Primary School for pupils aged 4 to 11.

Alne hosts the annual Alne Street Fayre, usually during the first week in June. Proceeds from the Street Fayre go to support Alne Parish Leisure Association which maintains the village's tennis courts, playground and other sporting amenities.
