Business operations

Alma Media has three business areas: Newspapers, Kauppalehti Group and Marketplaces.

The Newspapers business area includes the publishing of the afternoon paper Iltalehti, five regional papers and 29 local and city papers plus their online businesses.

The Kauppalehti Group includes Finland's leading business newspaper Kauppalehti, its online services as well as the information services Balance Consulting and ePortti. Alma 360 asiakasmedia, designing and producing content for marketing communication, and the news agency Baltic News Service (BNS) operating in the Baltic countries also report to this segment.

The Marketplaces business area includes online classified advertisements, supported by printed media as necessary. Services of the Marketplaces segment in Finland are Etuovi.com and Vuokraovi.com (homes), Monster.fi (recruitment), Autotalli.com, (vehicles), Mascus.fi (heavy machinery) and Mikko.fi (online trade and auction site). Services outside Finland are City24, Mascus

Alma Media's printing and distribution business has been organised into a company named Alma Manu Oy on 1 July 2010. Alma Manu brings together Alma Media's three newspaper printing houses in Tampere, Pori and Rovaniemi as well as the newspaper distribution company Aamujakelu Oy operating in Pirkanmaa, Sea Lapland and Satakunta.
