. They met while she was in the video for "These Days." Their first child, a daughter, named Madeline Leigh DeMarcus, was born on December 17, 2010 at 4:49 p.m. weighing 6 pounds and 9 ounces.
She is the regular host of the Miss Tennessee pageant. In January, Allison served as the Roving Reporter for the 2007 Miss America Pageant. Mario Lopez served as host. She was CMT's pageant correspondent for the Miss America pageant and filmed behind-the-scenes look for CMT Insider. Allison currently serves as host for People Magazine Country Special Edition on CMT and serves as a correspondent for CMT Insider where she has interviewed everyone from Shia LaBeouf to Dolly Parton. She is a correspondent for CMT's Top 20 Countdown, was featured in CMT's Summer of Music campaign, as well as serving as "Style Judge" for CMT's Karaoke Dokey and hosted CMT's Extreme Makeover:Quickbooks Edition. She has hosted the Red Carpet Show for the CMT Music Awards live from Nashville, Tennessee. She hosted "The Life, The Legend, The King: A Tribute to Elvis Presley" and the CMA Red Carpet show, both for TVGuide Network. Alderson has also been featured on CMT's 100 Greatest Videos, CMT's 40 Sexiest Videos, CMT Videobabes and her home was featured on Good Morning America's Country Cribs.

Alderson has been featured in People magazine promoting her show, "People Magazine on CMT." Nashville Lifestyles featured Alderson and her dog, Priscilla, as the magazine's "Person of Style," chose her as one of Nashville's Most Beautiful People and placed her on top of The Hot List: Hottest Girl All Over Town. Sophisticate's Hairstyle featured Alderson in "10 Questions with Allison DeMarcus" and Alderson was a featured columnist for Country Weekly magazine.
