Allen Zadoff

Allen Zadoff is an award-winning American author. He is mainly known for the adult memoir Hungry and for his young adult novels. His novel Food, Girls, and Other Things I Can’t Have was awarded the 2010 Sid Fleischman Humor Award from the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. and has been optioned for a feature film. His most recent novel for young adults is called My Life, the Theater, and Other Tragedies. Both books have been published by Egmont-USA and distributed by Random House. It was recently announced that Mr. Zadoff will be writing a third novel for Egmont scheduled for publication in 2013.

Background
Allen Zadoff was born in Boston, Massachusetts and went on to live in upstate New York, Manhattan, Tokyo, and Los Angeles. A former stage director, he is a graduate of Cornell University and the Harvard University Institute for Advanced Theater Training. He is also an alumnus of the Warner Bros.
