In March 2003, Ali was selected in the Egypt national football team U-17 by the headcoach Farouk El Sayed.

In April 2006, and upon his request Ali joined Shobi University
as a special athlete to play soccer and study with the recommendation of Tokyo Verdy Club. He is comepting in Japanese Universities League. This is to end on December 2009 when he graduate.
During July 2009, Ali Elsamni was on a trial with Romanian side FC Astra Ploieşti
, with the aim to join in January, but the negotiations failed due to financial aspects.
