Alexander Ghindin is a Russian pianist. He won the fourth prize in the International Tchaikovsky Competition
in 1994 and was the youngest laureate ever. He has won prizes at piano competitions such as the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition
in 1999, the Cleveland International Piano Competition
in 2007, and the International Piano Competition of Santa Catarina Brazil in 2010.
After playing with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra
as a soloist in 1999, he has performed with orchestras in his native Russia including the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Russian National Orchestra
, and Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra.
In 2006, Ghindin was named an Honoured Artist of Russia.
