Aist Bicycles a subsidiary of Motovelo Corp
is a Belorus bicycle company. "AIST" is the official partner of the Belarusian Federation of Cycling http://www.cycling.by and the Belarus National Cycling team.
Aist fortunes declined and for the year 2002 sold 840,000 bikes. However sale picked up later and by 2007 Aist sold more than 55 million bicycles.
In 2008 Aist's new line of bicycles consisted of 35 models of largely with Italian design help.
In 2008 Mark "AIST" became the official partner of the Belarusian Federation of Cycling
The 2009 Aist lineup included 47 models (highway, track, hybrid, Straight Dirt 4, Mountain, BMX, Urban, Road, Folding, Children)

History
Aist Bicycles was founded in 1947 and in its first year Aist sold about 6,000 bicycles. By 1950 Aist sold 100,000 bicycles and by 1955 sales rose to 400,000 bikes a year. Aist started exporting bicycles in 1963 an by 1967 had sold about 8 million bicycles. In 1970 the logo was changed from the Cyrillic АИСТto the English "AIST". In 1977 Aist developed a folding frame model 20 inch wheels. The 1980 International Exhibition in Bombay (India) commended the design development of a bike "AIST".
