Alitalia CityLiner was founded as Air One CityLiner S.p.A. It was a subsidiary of Air One
until it merged with the Compagnia Aerea Italiana on 12 January 2009 and its planes are now used on behalf of Alitalia
group. The aircraft are still in the Air One CityLiner livery, and are being phased out and replaced by new regional turbojet aircraft in the new Alitalia CityLiner livery.
Air One CityLiner was originally made, in June 2006, to serve regional destinations on behalf of Air One
, with a brand new fleet of 10 Bombardier CRJ-900's.
