Aide Iskandar is a professional soccer
player who plays for Sengkang Punggol and was once the captain of the Singapore national football team
, which he led to consecutive Tiger Cup
wins in 2005 and 2007. He was also a member of the Singapore team which won the Tiger Cup in 1998.
in the S-league before opting to join Johor FA
in the Malaysian League in November 2005. He then went on loan at Tampines Rovers FC
for the 2006 season in Singapore. For the 2007–08 season, he moved to Geylang United FC

He made it to the latest FIFA Century Club list on 17 May 2007.
In September 2007, he was banned for five games and was fined SGD$2500 for insulting the referee after his team, Geylang United lost controversially to Home United by conceding two goals in the final five minutes. It was reported in the papers that he said, "How much did you bet on the game, ref?.
Because of that incident, he was dropped from the national team
for the game against UAE and missed the World Cup qualifier against Palestine
. However, he was recalled up on Tuesday following the notice that Aide's five-match S.League ban has been suspended pending the player's appeal.
On November 9, 2007, just hours before the kick off of the World Cup 2010 qualifiers against Tajikistan
, he sensationally retired from international football, and by doing so, he handed the skipper's armband to Indra Sahdan Daud

In April 2008, it was announced that Aide would become the Technical Director of a proposed A.C. Milan Junior School
which would begin operations in Singapore late 2008. Aide is also a fan of the Italian Serie A

Aide has joined Sengkang Punggol for the 2009 S.League season as a player and assistant coach, in a similar position as Mirko Grabovac
