SiteGuard is an Internet Explorer
add-on developed by South Korea
n security software company AhnLab. It is compatible with IE version 6 or higher, and works under Windows XP, Vista and 7. It utilizes the V3 engine, also present in other AhnLab solutions to protect against phishing and infected webpages.
Unless configured otherwise, it reports every threat detected to AhnLab. Also, it comes with a built-in download manager. The program AhnLab Report, which provides information about the system, is also installed alongside SiteGuard.
Download and activation=
Although listed and detailed in the english AhnLab website, the program itself isn't available there. It must be downloaded from the official website http://www.siteguard.co.kr/. Even tough the page is in korean, the program is in english, for non-korean systems. After installing, a start-up page explaining how to activate the program opens, however, the instructions are also in korean. In order to use it, the user must first right-click and choose the option "Enable AhnLab SiteGuard."
