Agent Fresco are an Icelandic "polyrythmic oddtime rock with jazz and funk influence" band formed in 2008 just weeks prior to competing in the Músíktilraunir (An Icelandic version of Battle of the Bands
) which they won. They also won ‘best guitar’, ‘best drumming’ and ‘best bass playing’. Their first hit was LP was Lightbulb Universe which won a ‘Kraumur Award
’.
The lead singer is Arnór Dan Arnársson (Previously with Rosa - the Danish progressive-rock act from Sorø). Vignir Rafn Hilmarsson plays the Electric Upright Bass, Hrafnkell Örn Guðjónsson, the Drums and Þórarinn Guðnason the Guitar and Piano.
Agent Fresco also in 2009 were named as the best new artists at the Icelandic equivalent of the Grammies - the Íslensku Tónlistarverðlaunin.
Agent Fresco released their first full length album, "A long time listening" in early 2011. On sale on www.gogoyoko.is and iTunes.
