History
The Manchester, Bolton and Bury Railway opened to the public on 29 May 1838, and Agecroft Bridge was one of two intermediate stations between and , the other being . Later that year, regular passenger services ceased, but the station remained open for meetings at Manchester RacecourseManchester Racecourse
