issued an apology to parents of children who stayed up to watch the performance and assured that the dancers were not actually nude. DJ OZMA also issued an apology, but placed part of the blame on NHK. In the aftermath of the performance, "Age Age Every Night" went up 65 places in the Oricon Ranking on January 15, 2007, from #107 the week before to #42. The controversy over OZMA and the NHK's handling of the aftermath also resulted in DJ OZMA's subsequent group Yazima Beauty Salon
being prevented from performing at the 59th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen
in 2008, despite the popularity of the group's debut single.
