Following the success of Melbourne Knights during the 1990s, he was nominated in the club's Team of the Century which was announced in 2003. He became Melbourne Knights top goal scorer during season 1996-1997 with 13 goals, in season 1999-2000 with 11 goals and in season 2000-2001 with 13 goals.

Melbourne Knights (1992-1996)

Cervinski was signed by Melbourne Knights from the junior teams of North Geelong Warriors. Alongsinde Mark Viduka, he played in the Melbourne Knights squad that had played against Adelaide City in a 1-0 loss to finish second in the grand final of the NSL 1993-1994 season. He only gained 2 appearances through the 1994-1995 season, he was the second preference striker behind Mark Viduka. In 1994 he was loaned to Wollongong City to gain additional game time where he scored 5 goals in 16 appearances. By 1995, upon Mark Viduka's departure to Dinamo Zagreb, Cervinski returned to the Knights for the 1995-1996 season where he would score three goals in six appearances, the crowning moment of the season game in the NSL grand final where which he scored the Knight's second goal in a 2-1 win against Marconi Stallions to be crowned champions of Australia.

North Geelong (1996)

Cervinski joined North Geelong for the 1996 Victorian Premier League season, it was there where he would play with Joey Didulica. Cervinski would go on to make 6 appearances for the side which eventually finished mid table of the VPL.

Carlton SC (1997-1998)

Gaining 8 appearances for the 1997-1998 season, Carlton reached the grand final where which they eventually lost 2-1 to South Melbourne.

Green Gully (2003)

In 2003 Cervinski signed to Green Gully for the 2003 Victorian Premier League Season in a team with Andy Vargas

 and Mijo Trupkovic. Green Gully finished in second position, three points shy of Preston Lions who had finished in first place with 47 points. Cervinski netted 6 goals in 18 games, including a golden goal 92nd minute goal in extra time in a 2-1 winner against Preston Lions in the major semi-final.

North Geelong Warriors (2004-present)

Adrian currently plays for the North Geelong Sunday League team with his brother David and his friends. He scored 32 goals in season 2011 including a fantastic goal in the final where he chipped the keeper from the 16 yard box. Adrian also won the leagues Best and Fairest for 2011 and Best on ground in the Grand Final where North Geelong won 4-2. He was well supported this season by his brother David Cervinski, David Deak, Steve Tabak, Mark Vrljic and Damian Ramuta.
