Beg was placed as the in-charge of the Doabs by the Afghans, but later allied himself with the Sikhs

 and the Marathas. His life is described in an unpublished Persian manuscript Ahwal-i-Dina Beg Khan. Beg died, apparently of colic, on 10 September 1758.
