Development

Shakthi Scott, who has worked on the visual effects of several International Commercials and Tamil films including Eeram, Arundathi, Ayan and Sarvam, has directed Adhisaya Ulagam 3D.He was initially signed to direct an english film STARK which later was dropped and then he planned to direct Adhisaya Ulagam 3D under his own production.The idea of creating this film was born from young crews in a revolutionary way from DREAM GATE formed by Shakthi Scott with his friends Indrakumar,Hariraman,Surendar,Jaffar Ali and Praveen Raj,as they worked as asst directors and VFX supervisors.The whole film is created targeting the children audience.

Filming

The filming started on June 8th 2011 in chennai.85 percent of the movie was filmed in green matte using the 3d camera.Adhisaya Ulagam is one of the early film to use the 3d camera in the tamil film industry.It is believed the movie will be a game changer in Tamil Film Industry. Several new stereoscopy technologies for 3d have been implemented and a new method of film making process is brought. The film adopts Hollywood formula for its making from the very first pre-production.
