Adan Mohamed Nuur Madobe is a Somali
politician and a former Speaker of Parliament of the Transitional Federal Government
(TFG) of Somalia
. Following the resignation of Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed
as President of Somalia in December 2008, he became interim president. Like many Somali politicians, he is a former warlord
. He was also a Quranic instructor.
Madobe was born in Mandera
in the Northern Frontier District
(NFD). He is of the Digil-Mirifle clan, specifically the Hadame subclan.

, who later used the city to establish a new interim capital within the country. Nineteen were killed, many of them civilians, and 28 wounded in the fight over the city.
