Adamdighi is located at 24.43°N 89.10°E. It has 41,495 household units and a total area of 168.83 km² (approximately).. Chhatin gram is a famous UP of Adamdighi Upazila.

Adamdighi Thana, now an Upazila, was established in 1821. The upazila consists of six union parishads, one municipality named Santahar, 133 mouzas, and 179 villages.
