Vinyl information

  • A blue vinyl version was re-released around 1986.
  • The album title as printed on the spine of the record jacket is 'Different Kind of Tension', without the 'A'. However, the 'A' appears everywhere else and always with all lower case letters.
  • Another detail printed on the jacket spine is; 'it's only the third album'.
  • Printed on the record label of the A-side is the phrase; 'THE ROSE ON THE CHOCOLATE BOX' and on the B-side; 'THE THORN BENEATH THE ROSE'
  • The sleeve features a photograph of the band taken on Westminster Bridge amongst a montage of triangles. This continued the artistic theme established by Malcolm Garrett on the covers of Another Music In A Different Kitchen (squares) and Love Bites (circles).
