Plot summary

A Day With Wilbur Robinson follows the story of a boy (13 years old) who visits an unusual family and their home. While spending the day in the Robinson household, Wilbur's best friend joins in the search for Grandfather Robinson's missing false teeth and meets one wacky relative after another.

Differences from the book

The film contains a scene in the second act that follows the plot of the original book closely, while the rest of story was built for the film itself.

In the film, the elementary school Lewis attends is named as a tribute to the author, William Joyce. It is switched around to Joyce Williams Elementary School.
