Mike VanPortfleet has attributed a lack of quality recording equipment as having a profound effect on Stark Corner's sound. "All I had at the time was a 4 track and a few pieces of musical equipment.", says VanPortfleet, "It really forced me to learn how to layer properly... and that led to "fullness" of that release."
