Company history

AM PM began running commercial bus services on Monday 23 February 2009. The first route operated by the company was the no.6 between Solihull

 town centre and Birmingham.

They began operating from a small, compact depot in Stechford, Birmingham

. However in Summer 2009 AM PM moved to a larger premises on the extensive Birmingham Truck Stop site in the neighbouring Tyseley district. The Tyseley site remains AM PM's only depot but was considered large enough to house their expanding fleet, engineering, fueling and administration facilities.

AM PM continually made changes to its services since December 2009 including the launch of a small network on Tamworth, the weekday running of their Birmingham - Coventry 900 service and operating on the 246 between Stourbridge and Dudley. However, all these have been withdrawn.

Solihull-born Mel Kang was the Managing Director of AM PM. Kang was a finalist in Midlands Business Awards' Young Entrepreneur of the Year category in 2010.

In May 2011, services run by itself and sister company Solihull Travel stopped operating due to "Operational Reasons". Johnsons of Henley are operating the X50 on behalf of Worcestershire County Council and the S7 service on behalf of Centro. This turned out to be due to the fact AM PM Travel went into Liquidation
