The AKR Global Group is a multinational
conglomerate
in the sectors of Energy, Telecom, Financial Services & Insurance, Information Technologies, Chemicals, Media and Printing head quartered at Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada. With operations in a growing number of five countries, the group is heavily invested in a present 18 sectors.
AKR Global Group started back in 2007 as a Printing and Publishing company, named Parkdale Media. In the last four years, the group diversified into its current 18 sectors including the commodity, deregulation, financial, services and retail industries. AKR Global Group is owned and managed by Andrew Ault who is the President- AKR Global Group and News Now Canada.
From its early beginnings in 2010 as Algoma's only independent telecom affiliate, AKR has developed a capability that spans many activities and has taken its expertise to many challenging locations around the world. We have not only shown strong presence in the retail (Consumer and Small Business) but also in the corporate client sectors. With a large client base and a balanced mix of consumers and corporations, AKR Telecom has a very impressive base of customers making it a great retail partner in telecom deregulation success.
AKR telecom also currently has its own VoIP service and despite affiliates of Wireless carriers, are in the process of creating their own Wireless carrier in the U.S, expected to launch January 2012.
Under the partnership agreement, AKR Telecom will sell GSM connections under the AKR Mobile brand name to customers visiting its retail and online outlets across all formats and locations. This partnership of one of America’s leading telecom operator and the country’ sfastest growing retail commodity company- AKR Telecom.
In the United States, AKR Insurance is a franchised network of insurance agencies that provides industry-leading online systems technology and an array of insurance companies. AKR Insurance also provides a centralized back office, head-quartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Presently, AKR Insurance has presence in the U.S. (17 franchises); U.K (5 franchises); Australia (5 franchises); New Zealand (3 franchises) and though a joint venture in Canada, with National Insurance Group Canada (11 franchises). In September 2011, AKR Insurance has began opening company owned franchises in Canada with plans on puruing that model in the other countries.
The new company provides competitve, unbiased policies to consumers (through National Insurance) and provide the franchisee an innovative online back office system, (through AKR Financial). AKR Financial has disclosed it owns 66.7% of the company, and has plans on purchaing out National Insurance by the end of 2011.
The JV started operations in Canada in September 2011.
During This Time, AKR also acquired Great Lakes Insurance (Sault) Brokage, Inc., now a company owned franchise of National Insurance.
AKR IT has presence in seven countries.
They currently distribute more than 50 lines of green products.
