, in 1968. The Cyclone has more of an older design that does not match their other sirens in production.

History

The Cyclone was designed in 1968, by Jim Biersach, as a 120dB siren. It was intended for civil defense purposes, but many communities have used it for other uses. In 1980, the P-50 was designed. It used the same rotor

as the Cyclone used. The Cyclone was redesigned in 1980, and became 125dB at 100 feet, instead of 120. The Cyclone is still in production, however it is not a top-link product, as opposed to in the 1960s.
